The 5-day HDFF Stay Safe Training: Safety and Security for UN/(I)NGO Staff course provides participants with an overview of some of the most prevalent safety and security issues facing UN agencies and non-profit organizations worldwide. This interactive course will present a variety of best-practice methods for preventing, managing, and responding to such situations.
Training Objectives:
§ To increase personal and organizational risk management capabilities
§ To raise personal situational awareness
§ To be able to apply practical first aid skills in the field
§ To understand the principles of fire safety and to extinguish fires in the field
§ To reduce the risk of kidnapping and to effectively manage a hostage situation
§ To properly assess risks to staff and projects/programs
Participants:
§ UN Agencies, (I)NGO’s, (Multinational) Corporations, Embassy Personnel
§ Security Focal Points, Safety Managers, Project Managers Field Staff
§ Maximum of 20 participants
